Swim Safe for free this summer!
A key part of your journey through water is learning how to do it safely.
Swim Safe is a free water safety programme designed to teach kids aged 7 to 14 important lessons for staying safe in the sea. Through a range of fun activities, these sessions are based on the RNLI key messages and focuses on the dangers around Plymouth Sound. By attending these engaging sessions, you’ll be learning how to avoid emergencies, as well as how to act if you were ever to find yourself in one.
Swim Safe will be available from Monday 8th June and run throughout the Summer, additional activities will be available throughout August. To take part in a memorable session teaching potentially life saving skills, register your interest today!
RNLI at Plymouth Tinside Lido

Sessions delivered by Plymouth Active Leisure and Plymouth National Marine Park.
For this location, please arrive at Tinside Lido reception at least 20 minutes before the lesson start time and tell the member of staff you are there for the Swim Safe session. You will then be guided down to meet the supervisors. The session is split into two sections. Half of the session will be in Tinside lido and the other half will be in the open ocean (Tinside cove).
There is parking on Hoe road outside the Lido, with a few disabled parking spaces. The Lido has lift access and is suitable for wheelchair users, but Tinside cove has no ramped access.
